Martin Farrell

Over my life span I have watched Halifax grow and expand to what it is today.  I am 63 years of age but feel in my late 30s now.  My family has been in Halifax for five generations.  In the last year I have been freed up from a number of what almost seemed to be life long commitments that limited my ability to commit time to throw myself into new major projects.  I think its’ now time for me to express some of my opinions about the directions we are now about to take in the next stage of the development and growth of our city.

I was born in Halifax, educated in our Public School System, High School and attended some University here in Halifax.  For 63 years I have been a resident of Halifax Peninsula North now known as District 8 and earlier known as Ward 5.  I attended Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, located halfway between Toronto and Hamilton. On return home from Sheridan I was fortunate enough to marry my good wife, find work, purchase a residential property in the Hydrostone Neighbourhood and started a family.  We have now been married for 40 year and have two adult offspring both out on their own, living and working in Nova Scotia.

I am hoping that residents of Halifax will find and use this website resource as a way to stay in touch with changes in our community. This Site will focus its efforts on staying up to date on New Developments, Traffic, Transit, Rail, Policing, Fire Protection and Public Schools.
